Sailing across the seas to shine light on the fight against cancer and inspire a wave of global support for preventative cancer research.
Jenna-Leigh Hoffmann is a published author, certified integrative nutrition and functional health coach, and founder of state of sun—a wellness brand delivering transformative experiences through international retreats and immersive lifestyle programs. She holds a Master’s in International Business, a Bachelor’s in Marketing, is a Certified Integrative Nutrition Health Coach, and has completed a 500-hour advanced yoga teacher training. With a career that spans elite athletics, high-level corporate strategy at a top global consulting firm, and holistic health, Jenna-Leigh brings a rare, multidisciplinary perspective to human performance and well-being.
Her debut book, Becoming Sunshine, tackles today’s most pressing health challenges—burnout, immune dysfunction, and cognitive decline—offering a practical, nature-based approach to sustainable well-being. Her upcoming book tour—hosted on a catamaran sailboat—brings this mission to life, creating a dynamic platform for education, connection, and impact.

Why Sailing
Sailing is a metaphor for the cancer journey — unpredictable, relentless, and demanding everything you have.
Like cancer, the ocean can change in an instant — calm one moment, terrifying the next. There’s no shortcut. You endure it. You ride each wave. You learn to bend without breaking.
The sea teaches us two things cancer patients know intimately: Resilience and. surrender. And yet, even in the harshest conditions, the ocean is also a place of healing. Of life. Of awe. It reminds us that beauty and brutality can coexist — just like they do in the fight against cancer.
This journey is symbolic:
Of strength in vulnerability.
Of showing up, especially when it’s hard.
Of honoring those who face storms every single day
